Recently I performed a home inspection in Voorheesville NY. It is always interesting doing home inspections where you grew up. I didn’t know the seller, but I knew at least three of his neighbors. Then I found out that my older brother went to school with his oldest son years ago. I can remember working with my uncles in Voorheesville too. When we weren’t surveying or inspecting homes, we were building, fixing, and doing everything else building related. On the drive there I saw a home where i installed a heating unit 15 years ago (and they still are using it today). I then saw a septic system that me and my brothers installed over 20 years ago (still in use too). No matter how long I am a home inspector, or even the fact that I inspect in Voorheesvile all the time, I still get nostalgic.
